Blade Runner is awesome but the scene where Deckard basically rapes that android still makes me feel uneasy. also, i always imagine Blade Runner as being the life of Han Solo before he became a pilot, and Deckard is his middle name.

Not much, really - I had a clear idea in my head of what I DIDN'T want to do as a father (based on how my father treated me), although in some ways I did end up repeating a few of his mistakes, which I've since resolved. I think I make a better parent to "older" children rather than infants/toddlers, as I'm good at reasoning with them. I went into fatherhood fully knowing I had to man up and take responsibility, and never, ever let them down if at all possible.

too, so that makes it OK. Kinda undermines a bit (depending on your perspective) the ending, knowing that he too, will die after several years like Rachel will, rather than her dying, and Deckard having to go through the loss and trauma of it.

 

Plus, he can't threaten to "Retire" that bitch if she ever stops putting out.

Ridley saying Deckard's a replicant just seems like he's pulling shit out of his ass as an afterthought, but i'll go along with it.

 

also that screws up my fantasy of Deckard being Han. :angry:
