bubbhasdance
I just started making tracks again, but I've already fallen into a pattern -weird timestretched noise, usually some classical sample -layered with effects and other noises -odd noises (bells, whistles, etc.) -creepy airy vocals -static/subtle audio samples -add effects -(hoping to get here) drums, etc Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide bubbhasdance's signature Hide all signatures THATS HOW U NO U GOD WHEN YOU GOTA MODEL AND SHE THROW UP ON YO DICK BECAUSE ITS SO BIG AND YOUR IN A LIMO GOING TO A LIL B CONCERT - Lil B Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/57171-your-typical-track-layout/page/2/#findComment-1352023 Share on other sites

chim
some fun melody, some sounds some semblance of drum pattern, EQ some more EQ EQ to cancel out the extraneous EQ then EQ again some limiting some reverb render the track, become hopelessly unsatisfied with it go back to work on it again, spend ridiculous amounts of time trying to balance everything out my computer stops being able to handle the size of the track so i give up on it Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/57171-your-typical-track-layout/page/2/#findComment-1352525 Share on other sites
impakt
Almost everything on its own track, chaining them etc. Usually 3-4 sends with different delay and reverb units. Guest Sprigg
Some kind of melodic synth line Maybe a weak-ass drum pattern (though right now I'm in beatless mode) Some kind of countermelody/harmony/ pad layer Add some effects Another synthy layer somewhere Maybe a sample. Become unhappy and delete track Most everything gets its own pattern,, I find it easier to be flexible with them that way. The only time I have more than one instrument on a single pattern is when it's drums.
