Autechre move of ten out of ten

After listening to MOT it got me thinking that this is really the least Autechre sounding release to date, as stated in the other MOT topic.

I do wonder if this did get leaked how many people would have thought it was fake.

Also I hear lots of Machinedrum and Monomachine in this so it also got me thinking that maybe this was recorded closer to Quaristice, ie before Oversteps.

Quaristice is great but I found the production suffered , I wish the production of Quaristice was more like MOT.

It seems foolish to think that the album fake. To do this, there is no reason. Or Bleep when it sold a fake?

This was an interesting release! pce freeze 28i was the highlight for me. Some very lush space on this EP. Simplicity too..

I never suggested the bleep release was a fake I was just wondering if it had been leaked before the bleep release how many people would have thought some tracks were not Ae.

What exactly this release are not typical Autechre? For me Oversteps is no longer typical, than Move Of Ten...

I can agree that Etchogon-S and M62 a few did not like the familiar sound of Ae, but it is rather a sign of progress, it is only plus

Full on ae.

And according to the japan interview insert thing the material was made up of a hybrid of their live set-up/material for the oversteps tour and studio work. This may be where the perceived similarities to quaristice come from, as that material was also made with the the help of their live set-up at the time.

that happens with every ae release, even when its real. people thought draft was fake, untilted, quaristice, oversteps, etc...

i think its a tribute to how well they switch it up every time.

i'm actually super happy with the production in quaristice and quadrange especially.

it's tiring how every artist out there goes for the sugar gloss production+mastering, it's like everyone is in a mad rush to sound exactly the same.

what's cool about autechre is that every album usually has a very consistent sound/texture, and they switch it up every time.

it's like.. good cinematography. each film has it's own sort of color palette. it's own character and mood.

it's the same reason why i keep putting on my bloody valentine loveless 15 years later. it just sounds so fucking awesome.

If oversteps didn't come out then I might question it but this sounds like oversteps which in my mind now is a part of autechre. move of ten sounds like taking the oversteps setup, and trying to do Draft on it. 100% autechre in my mind.

The way I see it, Move of Ten came out so soon after Oversteps, its just like sauce to dip your oversteps it.
