Have you guys seen this, from the first portal? A few images that had to be decoded from on of the last updates, that gave clues about the second instalment of the game.

Definitely. All the soundtracks are created by Valve's Kelly Bailey (i hope it's still him).

I think you will get access to the full tracks eventually, if you explore the game's folder. Just like the other Valve games.

lol, I don't see the relevance but I haven't read the whole thread.. while I have never got into one of those types of games, I don't see them being that depressing for those who really like racing and cars.. seems like a logical progression instead of haaay guys wanna go for another pointless purposeless race??? gotta give those car nerds a reason to earn that new too fast too furious decal

the music in Portal was darkly ominous, ambient stuff. with the odd little bit of iddum influenced stuff thrown in for good measure.

the music in the trailer is okay but not fantastic in my ears. feels like it's lacking something. probably dynamics

I don't consider myself a car nerd in the slightest, I don't really have a clue about cars. But Forza Motorsport 3 with my racing wheel in my seat setup is some of the most fun I've had playing a game. Maybe because of the wheel and seat? Playing these games with a pad is just not fun anymore.

That said, I find most FPS games proper sleephouse. But then, there are shit loads of them.

It's just the trailer music. There will be more. And i am sure they will follow the same style as portal.

valve don't really like the ps3, as gabe newell even said the console was a disaster, and being the first game they include ps3 on, i don't believe they will just experiment this new cross platform feature just with playstation. xbox 360 will definitely be included.

ps3 is getting some kind of Steam, xbox doesn't have that.

ps3 is getting some kind of Steam, xbox doesn't have that.

i am pretty sure they will extend this cross-platform thing to both consoles. if not, well it's something already.

well from what i read around E3, Microsoft's system is too "closed" to allow for co-operative play across platforms. i'm pretty sure i read that Valve explicitly stated that the cross platform interoperability would only be between PC, Macintosh and PS3.

oh totally, i think it's a very cool thing - i think it's the first time that players on a console and the PC/Mac have been able to play in the same way. could be wrong though, but i've never heard of it before.

i have been thinking and almost sure it's the first time.

valve keeps on inovating the game scene.

i wish my PS3 didn't decide to break after doing the last firmware update, i would love to play this

if at the time you have a pc that can run it, better grab a copy from steam. playing portal with mouse is imo the best way. it gives a lot os sensibility and really helps.
