also regarding the fatman... Does it have program memory??? I guess you could just send out a sysex set message or something? manually dial in presets?

I've started performing live using:

-MacBook

-Carillon 49 4 octave MIDI keyboard

-Behringer BCR2000 MIDI controller

-Edirol UA20 audio interface

-Ableton Live 8 running SonicBirth-built tone generators which are then automated and processed in Live

home-made monome clone running sevenup 2

padkontrol running native control to launch/mute clips etc

bcr2000

oxygen8

edirol fa-66

maybe my dsi tetra if I'm feeling bold
