Nintendo DS / DS Lite / DSi / DSi XL / 3DS thread

i got my ds lite and soon after gave away my gameboy sp. then i was really upset when i found out i couldn't play gameboy games on the ds. i long to play pokemon yellow again.

This thread just makes me want to play pokemon again.

i once sat at the edge of my bed just flicking my GBC on and off so i could listen to the start up chime. such a beautiful sound <3

My wall is filled with A LOT of stuff ( mainly anime posters )

my blue DSi XL finally came today, thing is gorgeous and screens are bright as fuck. the battery lasts a long time as well.

Nitrografx - PC Engine/Turbografx emulator highly recommended

they never made it over in the UK so it's nice to play the games we never had. amazing speed for its time and nice chunky 8bit GFX and sound better than C64 or NES

got all the ROMS on 400mb of space

ds lite: too heavy. one screen is enough. wish you could snap off the top half.

gb micro: too too small. screen burns my eyes :/

gba SP: best for playing games. not too heavy, screen is an OK size.

good games:

-both advanced wars

-chinatown wars GTA

-professor layton games

-hotel dusk(fun, wouldn't want to play it again though)

-motherfucking peggle

-chronotrigger

-all castlevania games

-broken sword(good adventure game)

-ScummVM(for lucasarts stuff, if you have a flashcart)

-the world ends with you(never finished it and i don't remember why, interesting rpg with weird/cool battle system)

-zelda games

-time hollow

-ninja gaiden-dragon sword(amazing graphics for a DS game)

-new york times crosswords
