ah, i was looking for this thread - figure someone here might can help me.

The Essential Arthouse editions. Are they the same quality transfers as the Criterions?

i'm looking for a quality copy of The 39 Steps which is available on both EA and Criterion. I'm not collecting anything or looking for extras. However, if the Criterion print is better, i'll opt for that one. Anyone know or have dealt with both?

i got a jodorowsky box set (holy mountain, el topo, fando y lis) for $13.00 sealed off amazon recently - superb deal. what i'm wondering though is how Jodorowsky's films are not in the Criterion collection !! ??

I should have picked up the Criterion edition with the Betamax packaging ages ago, too skint to buy it right now. : (
