So Steam just released a new game for free. Apparently it's based off an old Unreal Tournament mod. Top-down, 3rd person shooter in a squad of 4. A lot like Left For Dead, but a lot of fun, plus IT'S FREE.

been playing it for a few days now. it's great.

Although 10.6.4 really fucked up Steam/graphics performance for me, anyway.

I still can't play games cause of that fucking OSX update, really pissed off about it especially now because I'm bored as a cunt

I tried it but didn't fall for it. Maybe I'll give it another go in a year or so.

Doesn't work for me. Opens then just closes again instantly.

Can't be bothered to fix it right now, probably go back to my game of Rome instead.

ATI Graphics card? there's been some reports of issues with those. although i believe they released a patch over the past few days that should've fixed it :-/

disable multicore rendering in options, fixed it for me (ATI card here too)

Most people on my friends list have been playing this lately, pretty rare that I've seen that many people on steam playing the same game

dear dan c, its based off a unreal tournament mod made many many years ago, I haven't played Alien Breed yet even though I downloaded it but I'm pretty sure this game is a lot more fun from what I've heard

as a big fan of alien breed on amiga, yup, it is very alien-breed ahem inspired.

60deg view angle and true 3d as opposed to top down and sort of tile-based though.

there's already a mod out there to let you play it as an fps.

ive been meaning to try this game but have had no one to play it with. we shud throw down tomorrow
