hardware effects

I tried the Electro Harmonix Memory Man the other day. Holy shit. It took quite some time to get used to the tap-button and the some of the effects, but holy crap the filter knob really grabbed the music by the balls and swung it around.

It was almost too effective.

FX racks - what's your budget?

 

budget is limited for sure. space is even more limited. not sure i want to start on racks till i got a room

if you've not got room for some rackmount FX then I doubt you've got room for any hardware FX... I wasn't suggesting you buy a rack mounting system and fill it with different gear you know! I just meant get like ONE rackmount FX unit - I've got two and they're not actually in a rack, just sit on my desk...

anyway for budget effects in rackmount form, you could do worse than the Zoom RFX-1100, check it out...

yeah those zoom racks are quality, great price for a lot under the hood. Zoom makes great digital stuff, big fan. They also used to make analog pedals. I used to have 2 of them and they were some of the best and most versatile distortions I ever used for hi gain/metal stuff.
