I also used to hang out on an E6 board (E6Townhall). I stopped posting there about a year ago. I pop in every now and then but E6 is kinda over.

I used to be obsessed with of Montreal (I've seen them 13 or 14 times live) until they stopped playing pre-"Satanic Panic" songs live.

To be fair joy rex, I was avoiding it for some time but the album is actually quite good. Some very catchy tunes on it.

I'm with you. He may have already called it quits by the time I started listening to them, but I'm not a young hipster kid. There definitely wasn't any hype that I was aware of when I discovered them. Plus I'm not sucking In the Aeroplane Over the Sea's nuts like everyone else, On Avery Island is far more enjoyable to me.

im not embarrassed by this at all but it seems as good a place as any to say it, black foliage: animation music vol. 1 by olivia tremor control is probably my favorite E6 related album and everyone should check it out.

more on topic, i love the smiths and am unashamed of that but i also really like most of morrissey's solo stuff even though i know it's mostly not really all that good.

That I Would Do Anything for Love duet by Meatloaf and some chick just popped into my head, and I decided that song's actually pretty awesome in just about every way. One for this thread for sure. Wait, why should I hate that? Hmm... I'm not good at this game because any time I think of a song that possibly fits, I realize I like it because it's awesome.

I don't know, if you ignore the guy's picture, it's really rather pleasant. I opt for this over 90% of what's doing well commercially today.

I'm not really embarrassed by this song itself, but by the fact that I cannot listen to it without crying, which doesn't seem appropriate.
