Portman's looking pretty haggard, all that vegetarianism or whatever diet fad she subscribes to has accelerated her "use by" date.

Oh yeah and aranofsky's pretty much a hack as jefferoo said. This looks laughable, especially the limo scene. But Portman being abused sounds good, just wish the director was Von Trier.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

I won't be able to enjoy this movie with Meg Griffin's voice on the face of a beautiful actress.

The Black Swan Theory or "Theory of Black Swan Events" was developed by Nassim Nicholas Taleb to explain:

1) the disproportionate role of high-impact, hard-to-predict, and rare events that are beyond the realm of normal expectations in history, science, finance and technology

2) the non-computability of the probability of the consequential rare events using scientific methods (owing to their very nature of small probabilities) and

3) the psychological biases that make people individually and collectively blind to uncertainty and unaware of the massive role of the rare event in historical affairs. Unlike the earlier philosophical "black swan problem", the "Black Swan Theory" (capitalized) refers only to unexpected events of large magnitude and consequence and their dominant role in history. Such events, considered extreme outliers, collectively play vastly larger roles than regular occurrences.

after the disappointment that was The Wrestler

lol. what did you expect? the fountain 2 starring mickey rourke?

i expected something that resembled what i've come to expect from an Aronofsky film. and i didn't get what i expected. as a film generally, The Wrestler wasn't bad. but it was definitely not what i would call a trademark Aronofsky film.

Sorry but you sound like a fucking toddler.

it's ok, you're forgiven.

agreed

i enjoyed the fountain quite a bit. that gets the most hate. i always wonder what it would have been like with brad pitt and twice the budget like it originally did. but i think the finished product is quite nice.

when I saw the title of this thread, I automatically assumed the film would be about the "Black Swan Theory".

Also is Clint Mansell doing the soundtrack?

it appears mansell is composing the entire soundtrack from pieces of Tchaikovsky's 1876 ballet Swan Lake
