makes me cringe, but no spine chills, i usually get those when i'm excited.

actually, i take that back. spine chills correlates to cringing, i guess. i was orignally thinking spine chiils correlated to goose bumps.

yea i actually got surprised with what you said at first.

goose bumps are a completely different feeling, at least with me.

socks rubbing together. i don't often wear socks because of it.

it's really weird as there is not even a sound (? i guess).

really similar to what i feel when fork's teeth are tied in other fork's teeth and i see it. even if there's no sound, shape change, touch or whatever it gives me chills, i just want it to stop.

yeah i think what it is, is i hate the FEELING of it when I'M wearing socks, and everyone I know is really disgusting and wears really crusty old socks with holes in them and you CAN hear it which recreates the feeling for me and urgggggh.

it's gotta be entirely psychological, though, because i do not hate this feeling with stockings or leggings made of sock materials.

yes, definitely psychological. but i am convinced that is something you won't easily change.

one of the things i also mention in the first post was dogs. it's something more than just spine chills, it's persistent phobia. it's impossible to enumerate all the people i know that already told me it's psychological, a matter of getting used and try to be near these animals, but it's not. i don't buy that. for me it's something deeper, something irrational that possibly exists in me since the beginning. like a line of the genetic code.

yeah i don't know that it's possible to get over it entirely, but it's certainly possible to get to a point where you can handle a phobia, or whatever.

What's up with the styrofoam being pulled out of boxes thing? That seems to be a pretty universal one, but what is it about human psychology that makes it so disturbing to so many? There's got to be something to that. It's never bothered me before.

The thing I can't stand is steel wool against metal or glass. That makes me want to scream.

The weirdest thing like this that I have experience of is one my friend's mom had. He would blow into an empty Smarties box and she'd freak out, yelling at him to stop because it was worse than nails on a chalkboard to her. Bizarre.

oh and things getting under a cuticle, like a fork

ugh

Yes. That just brought back a childhood memory of me playing with a stick, pulling back on the bark and having it do just that. That's the first and only time something like that has happened to me. I've been pretty mindful of things going under my nails ever since.

that's what i find both interesting and bizarre about these little odd specifications of our personalities.

they seem to bring terrifying effects on us, but when considered in a general, or lets say, normal context they simply don't make sense and are unexplainable.

edit: the styrofoam thing doesn't have any kind of effect on me, which kind of reinforces what i said just before.

mysterious creatures humans are, as master yoda would wisely say.

Women

Men

Anything remotely related to either.

I should probably expand on this, people make me cringe, 90% of the people I come into contact with make me cringe. Why? Because people are so fake, and emotionally dishonest, we all feel the need to put on this act so that we can live up to others expectations. Even so much as a "Hi, how are you doing" answered with "I'm fine" or "I'm good" quickly deflected with a "and how are you?"

JUST FUCKING TELL ME YOU'RE DYING ALREADY.

have you ever tried answering the question "How are you?" honestly? you'd think people would be interested to find out, but no.

GHOST: have you killed Claudius yet
HAMLET: no
GHOST: why
HAMLET: fuck you is why
im going to the cemetery to touch skulls

They find out anyway, because if I'm shit I tell them.

Then they feel the compulsive need to ask "why" whether they care or not, and when I know they don't, I cringe again.

Fuck you, people.
