i used to fall asleep to sawii a lot but i think i memorized every track so it's more difficult to get into it in a sleepy way. i listened to that GAS album in bed the other night and i was out after around the second track, so i'd say that

My latest (of many) sleep purchases is Enore Zaffiri - Musica Per Un Anno ( http://boomkat.com/cds/114895-enore-zaffiri-musica-per-un-anno ). It's like the sound of the worlds loneliest satellite lost slap bang in the middle of the universe.

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

did listen to that last night and it was a very refreshing experience. the only problem was that the 3 tracks are totally different in mood so I woke up shortly when a new track started as there was no transition at all. are they meant to be played one after another?

if you wake up during the transition you are playing it too loudly

Pink or white noise depending on the mood.

What the .. ?! Brown noise you loon - that's the noise profile for sleep. It sounds like a fast river going past, or the bottom of a waterfall. (N.B. For idiots -> Brown noise != The brown note)

When uni term was on, I'd always sit beside a tree far enough away from everyone that it was almost silent. It would often be quite windy, and the flags would flap and clang against their poles. It made such a surreal sound. Ringing, it echoed and cut through everything; blended perfectly with the album. It was impossible to get anything done, I just slumped back and took it all in. Sublime

This album, along with a lot of stuff from Kranky would be good to fall asleep with.

I'm also incredibly appreciative of the sleepbot love in here, I have been addicted to the station since 2004.

this is also pretty nice to fall asleep to but nothing beats Robert Richs - Somnium so far:

I just got the whole discography and there are more live concerts by Robert Rich I have to check. he is very prolific. the cover very much describes what it is about. It feels like you are falling into some kind of strange place far away in some kind of jungle landscape with lots of rain

I've just bought a new one -

I usually make about the 20 minute mark before drifting off .... It's really lovely it's a more conventionally musical version of Richard Chartier's stuff - drones of sound drifting off to infinity.
