It used to be just a pair of teal-coloured headphones, but now it's the Star Wars character Lobot wearing them

Perhaps [non-]coincidentally, the mysterious Russian numbers station UVB-76 has had a lot of activity recently.

 

yeah UVB-76 is one of the few that actually kinda creeps me out... they say it's a "dead man's switch"

i've been totally fascinated by numbers stations since i was a kid.

yeah, i sat listening to the first disc of the conet project one night... they are fascinating indeed, especially since they're so cryptic and the purpose of like 90% of them isn't really known, listening to the playbacks is very eerie

i had a multi-band radio as a kid and it was cool at night to tune to one of the odd-length bands and have this creepy/half-known world of spies get let into my suburban bedroom

Tunisia is just the location where they filmed the make-believe 'Tatooine scenes' here on Earth.

obviously because us dumb monkian humans hadn't yet figured out interstella space travel in 1976/77,

so they couldn't go to the real planet to flim.

but the Boards have been to the real Tatooine.. i'm fairly sure.

it's in a Galaxy far, far away, tho... but that's no problem for them, seeing as they know all about interstella space travel,

having grown up on Alderan where it's taught to children in Kindergarten.
