Who is on Twitter?

I just don't know very many people who use it honestly. There's so much hype about it, but no one I know tweets really. Everyone just uses Facebook status updates.

yeah twitter is most of the time about adding webmasters of pages you like and see what they write. its not so much about normal friends you know in real life. like someone said "facebook is for people you know and twitter is for people to wish to have known" that pretty much sums it up. also on fb you write about what you are doing on twitter you write about your profession or stuff you are into like music but not so much about how your day is. you can do that but its not the main focus as nobody that does not know you would be interested in it in the first place.

If you want to start with twitter find a topic you are very much into and search for people that share that via search or look up who people follow that are into your topic. then start talking about it and you will soon maybe have more fun with it than with fb as its more out of the box

I have one just to look at friend's updates. I don't have a cool phone so it's kind of pointless to update mine. I don't have a facebook so when I do get a cool phone (october?hopefully.) I'll come back to this thread and request that you all follow me so I can annoy the fuck out of you.

I gotta say, following musicians, labels, mags, etc. on Twitter definitely has it advantages. Always nice to know about release dates and other stuff ahead of time.

I made an account recently for networking, I tell myself, but I haven't posted anything yet. Waiting 'til I've got something really worth self-aggrandising about. I did create an off-putting background image though.
