I think if anything Mr James was trying to go places that that every other drukqs laptop copycat couldn't reach by creating somthing more timless like most decent analogue orintated synth music although even this particular take is becomming a genre in itself with all the cliche trappings but hey whats wrong with a little bit of melodic electronic music these days

edit: my sincere thoughts on analord are that most of the tracks are quite brilliant in terms of structure and it contains some of his best melodic work as well
