good 5.1 albums

I saw monolake perform ghosts in surround last weekend, I don't know if it's available anywhere though, I haven't found it. If/when it is you should get it. good stuff.

a few of the later FAX albums have a 5.1 DVD mix, 2350Broadway 4 and Tetsu Inoues Inland are well worth a look

also Lemonjelly and Orbital have done 5.1 DVD's

Jarre's Aero is a failed digital rework of his classics that claimed to be the first 5.1 DTS album even tho Orbital beat him by a good year

I know little of 5.1 albums not already mentioned here, but as a REM fanboy and a vague memory of you mentioning you liked Green, there is a DVD-audio 5.1 remastered version that came out. I think Warner Brothers has released all of their albums that way. As for the I.R.S. albums - well they would probably sound more appropriate on cassette reissues.

I have Medulla in 5.1 SACD and actually a system that can play it but haven't played it in years. Probably should dig it out sometime.

Speaking of concerts, I heard Stockhausen's Kontakte in 4 way speakers awhile ago. It was nice but I think the speakers were a little misplaced. They were in X formation when they should have been in + formation or the other way around.
