The mother fucking greatest. These two releases are definitely my favorite.

The Breezeblock mix is the best!

while you think that may be , you have a considerable point. i don't really think any mix is better than the other per se; it really depends on the mood at listening time.

the drum programming on the acid mix is incredible though. instant party time once the super-staccato drum beat towards the beginning kicks in

The live versions of Venus 17 tracks.. as played at the Boston set... are fucking unreal. "C'mon Bostonites!!!!"

Plus... Aphex Twin DJ'd "Talk about you and me" and "Venus No.17 Acid Mix" at Oxegen 2008 as well as one of the "archive tracks" from SP @ Warp20 sheffield.

MAkes me wonder if recent unreleased Tuss stuff is really Squarepusher with his new vocoder style a-la shobaleader.

my only complaint is that venus 17 ep is missing that awesome track played at the end of the breezeblock set, sounding like Anstromm-Feck on steroids. that tune is mental!!

it's very similar to modern bass guitar, isn't it?

Venus no 17 is just so groovy, it's one of Tom's funkiest tracks, imo

And we all know just how good the monster Tundra 4 is. Definitely top 10 for me. Insane release

Square Window is good too

The Squarepusher Breezeblock set, and therefore Tundra 4/Venus No.17, is still at the moment the highest peak of the entire IDM movement. Everything made after is still compared to that, there are no higher standards currently.

2006 Breezeblock is just about the pinnacle of popular music. I say that about 90% without irony.
