what texture pack is that (the first one)

did you really have to quote every video again to ask that.

It's Misa's 64x64 Realistic texture pack I think. It uses the shaders patch as well to do bump mapping and even DOF. Not recommended on low-end systems. The HD texture packs with shader support are interesting but I haven't found any I really liked.

yea using hd textures seems super buggy . i dont really think its worth it

I just downloaded xpadder and can now play MC with a game pad. may take some getting used to, and I may end up not using it, but yeah.

Let me know when you guys move spawn, I'll probably wait till then to get too deep into the server. Next week with 1.4 release would be a good time for it, the pvp servers will probably be down while they repair plugins so I won't be distracted.

yeah, if most recently slept-in bed sets spawn, then moving spawn will only affect the bedless. no real point now.
