The hair really is the cherry on top. 

this funky life-form flew straight outta nowhere to land on a tree branch right near my head , at the start of a path leading down to a local beach . had to duck as it come on in coz that fast in flight so as to blur , & humming a shrill drone . i1st mistook it for a wasp , but p sure ain’t no wasp . who up who knows what sorta critter it is ? approx 6cm in L .
