edit: i stumbled into a genesis p-orridge art show at MassMOCA a couple years ago. Lol it was a small room with wallpaper of massacred breast implants. in the center was two stuffed wolves' heads - one hanging from the ceiling, one on a small pedestal. Their mouthes were open with sharp daggers in place of their tongues. They were rotating around a incredibly bloody and deformed vagina.

I quickly left the room and went and looked at the jansen strandbeest that was on display.

quite a show tbh.

they're not, that picture is from like the 60's or something. it's from the book Aku-Aku, the Secret of Easter Island by Thor Heyerdahl, published in 1958 it says.

Ah, the Moai heads that always featured in Konami's shooters. LOVED them as characters - so iconic. A Moai head is also the last boss (Doh is his name) on the Arkanoid series.

Developed a minor fascination with moais after seeing that picture on the last page. We had a whole thread of pics like this but they are tremendous eye-mo
