It's jaw extending behind a shadow makes me wonder whether they were concerned about how it animated. Nice texture to it though. It seems to breathe as it screams, making it much more human-like than I've ever seen them*. It seems to be an anguished scream, rather than an angry one. As though it's concerned about it's own existence.

I always took it as more of a primal scream, akin to "ahhh! I'm alive!"

You just reminded me to watch Alien 4 to see how bad it really was.
