Yea, i need me some hiphop, and i'm not a big fan of rap so that's not important but i know nothing about good hiphop, it could also be really old, almost at the funk era, you know? Jazzy beats or something.

I really enjoy Flying Lotus which produces kickass beats, is there anything else (pre 2000) which i must hear?

Bring me those beats!

If I may be so bold to suggest my latest mix, featuring Dilla, A Tribe Called Quest, KRS, and Mantronix mixed with a healthy dose of dubby, heavy, watmm-approved beats.

not completely different things at all. rap is an integral part of hip hop.

No one seems to be reading...Sounds to me you are looking for instrumental hip-hop. I really like that stuff.

But since you mention possibly going back to the funk and jazzy beats era, you might be interested in this. I just happened to download it today. It's a 2-track compilation a bit over 40 minutes long. The second track is screwed though, so I'll actually have to buy it one of these days. It's worth checking out at least the first track though.

Quite the claim for someone who "know(s) nothing about good hiphop"

I cant really find if you want instrumental or not since rapping is really what makes hiphop what it is... I'll just list a little bit of everything.

I mean i don't know any artists or recommendations but i know quite a bit about hiphop, there is a lot of hiphop out there without rap and that's my primary target.

Also, hit me funk and everything related to hiphop!
