couldnt agree more, but the difference is some of the music is downright killer.

why is there always a tendency to group shit, to make a new genre or something.. so it's easier to hype it ?

music is always better when it's out of genre limits and more independent

Been exploring this genre the last few days and a few stands out.. oOoOO, Salem, Balam Acab, White Ring, Terminal Twilight (and Raime if he counts within the genre).

Mater Suspiria Vision might have been pioneering this genre, but it's not as good as the ones that followed.

Definately looking forward to this kind of music developing this winter. It's just what I need now that it gets darker.

Wether it's in a post-dubstep form, post-chopped&screwed, dark chillwave or a noise post-rock approach, I welcome it.

Crossover has been doing the cvlt thing for years. Here are a few of their more recent videos, but I recommend checking out some of their older stuff too. They used to do their own thing with their videos but with the recent uprising of "witch house" it looks like they are trying to identify themselves with it. No harm in that I suppose. A good way to get recognition for something you've been doing for a long time is to package it for a larger audience and ride the wave.

Just gave the song a listen, can't say it did anything for me. Other than making me want to put on something else. I'm not a fan of the vocals (I generally have a hard time with female vocals in electronic music anyway, not into the ethereal/trancy stuff), plus there's a bit of vocoder/autotune to it. The beat and claps are just nothing new or exciting to me. Nothing at all appeals to me in this track.

That's fine though, there's plenty of other stuff out there for me to listen to! I have a 29-page Amazon wishlist for fuck's sake.
