i saw a ufo once, not even joking, at least we couldnt tell wtf it was it looked like a firework, but it lasted about 10 minutes and just sat there up in the sky not making any noise, morphing and shifting and this was before i did drugs

at like 11pm in the country (nebraska) the entire sky lit up like someone took a flash photo of the world, then there was a fluctuating, big still light (about 5-10x size of a star) directly above us (my buddy and i in a car), and after a minute or so it shot off in one direction and left a trail of light behind it that looked like a smoke trail from a jet, but it was about the same brightness of the light from a star. the trail faded after about 5 minutes.

marveling at a ufo is marveling at nature. nothing strange there. i've had numerous genuine unidentified flying objects sightings throughout my life, and i have gotten positive feelings/butterflies each time.

one time the aliens landed in my living room...they were refracted through a glass prism hanging from the window and materialized on a crappy tv from the 80s that i had found on the street the night before. after some noodling with the cathode ray i managed to to free them from the tube. they were very grateful and payed me in a small yellow briefcase which contained a cornocupia of alien narcotics the effect of which i can only speculate except for the crystalized yellow flakes which born for me this existence. i have only recently stumbled upon this small piece of the puzzle which will hopefully trace back to the cosmic delta my tunnel of awareness. i have since developed the theory that the drug was actually a sort of alien roofie and they are currently using my body for any number of unthinkable sex acts. perhaps if I can find the missing cognitive link I will someday cure my perpetual state of false awakening...

it's not shooting a beam, it's static discharge from the cloud generated in the turbulence around the front of the warhead. Sure it's unusual but not impossible, and surely more realistic a solution that a that of a fairy pouring candy magic onto the front of the missile, or whatever you chaps were suggesting.

As for the cover-up, isn't that par for the course with these secret loving types, "we'll wrap this up until we can figure out what it is, don't wanna cause a panic with the drone masses."

The cometa report has not been written by the cnes but by a few colonel/generals. And it's just a rapport, nothing official.

This is another interesting non UFO related potential piece of the puzzle. There is a lot of atmospheric phenomena that hasn't been properly described nor classified. There's plenty of room for hypothesis, like mine with respect to what appeared on that missile film. All of these ideas should be basic extrapolations from that which we already understand to these as yet misunderstood events. In this way we are most likely to eventually arrive at a correct solution. Rather than just coming up with any old folkloric bS.

Now if i was to play along with some of this thread a little more, say re: radioactivity for example. Perhaps that would explain the phenomena spotted around nuclear reactors, that someone mentioned. More charged ions whizzing about ='s greater possibility for UFO activity. (UFO being unidentified floating occurrence)

indeed, although the colonels etc involved in writing it were all formerly high ranking officials in the armed forces or aerospace industry and drew largely on the findings of the very official GEPAN/SEPRA division, which was part of CNES (french equivalent of nasa). it's about as "official" as an unofficial report can get.
