i was interviewed by someone but don't remember who it was for. she asked me something like this. i told her something like being inspired by rhythmic sounds of everyday life... like the sounds of a copier, an idling car, the fridge in the middle of the night, nature, etc. i also told her that melody is a good element but was never important to me. i can be satisfied with sound scapes and beats (i was also listening to a lot of FSOL around this time). my ideals still holds true. this interview was around 2005.

I'm surprised no one said Acid yet.

Really, I find this impossible to answer because I like different music equally for different reasons. I mean, I'd like an experimental ambient song with really cool sound texture & no rhythm to speak of just as much as a really great beat made entirely on stock drum sounds.

It would have to be the molecules of Nitrogen in the air. Without em I wouldn't hear music very well.

honestly though i will get into just about anything if i like the concept behind it enough, if that makes sense.
