Probably the constant key modulations. That gets old after a while, but it's not something you hear often where vocals are involved. It's like Plaid with vocals, dancier beats and more schizophrenia. I'm basing that off the only album of his I have, The Listening Tree. He's damn good at what he does.

the vocals are annoying. it's like constant moralizing or something. intolerable.

The lyrics are pretty throwaway if you ask me. I just try to ignore that aspect of it. I'm sure he was creating music for a long time before he was writing lyrics. I think his vocals are there mostly because he likes to have singing in his music, not because he has any particular message he wants to convey. Of course I could be totally wrong about that.

^I find a lot of electronic music with vocals is like that. The voice is treated like just another element of the sonic environment, & not as the main story telling tool.

I was there yah thats quite some time ago pretty cool he finished posers&camera phones back then, while that was more of a Filth promotour i guess.
