I tend to listen to everything that is posted in YLC, but I refrain from posting comments as I feel they're probably unwanted. :emotawesomepm9:

If you think its shit, you should say so and why probably.

I generally just post releases instead of individual tracks nowadays. A lot of the material posted in the YLC forum are works in progress, and I don't bother posting those. I just want to post finished material.

Plus, I get more exposure through other outlets and none of the pretentious attitude. Not to suggest there aren't users with genuinely helpful comments, though. I just don't like getting shitty comments from people that obviously don't know that much about producing.

i generally write pretty thourough feedback, but since it takes a while I don't do it often. plus a lot of it is not that interesting. Well done yes. Interesting no.

some people don't tend to take crit well. If I like it, I say so, if not, I usually refrain from posting at all because a lot of people dont take constructive crit very well. I'll occasionally post some trax in there but I like to make finished releases. If I need help with a WIP I privately ask a trusted 2-3 people for advice/crit before i finish it completely.

I think that's the problem, I would quite happily give people feedback and try to be constructive, but I'm a hipster and no one will listen to me.

i quite like your noisy bits, sir

my tracks are obviously works of someone with little experience. I often post them up on soundcloud after spending ages trying to get them to sound right, then take them down the next day after realising it sounds shit.

Ive stopped posting in YLC until im personally happy with what im doing.

I do listen to other peoples stuff though - especially on the watmm soundcloud group - some of the stuff people produce is really inspiring.
