It's very pretty.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

well, I've got a dark energy now, so would looove one of these to go with it....not strictly necessary though as I'm using numerology which is basically exactly the same thing in software.

Have you posted any tracks done with the DE yet?

Do you d00ds know any good kits for building a sequencer like this? I'm sort of a mung though.

nothing proper, but there's a few noodlings on my soundcloud page - first 3 or 4 tunes are all Dark Energy apart from teh drumz.

Boy I have a craving to pick this up

However, i'm quite miffed as to how you actually input notes into the sequence?

What do those main knobs control and how are they used to sequence the notes? Been trying to find tutorial videos, but anyone which goes into detail is in German

call me silly, but anyone?

i seeee - so the knobs don't necessarily lock into specific notes (C,D,E etc.), they free wheel between tunings? still a bit lost....

As I understand the step knobs just set the CV for each step. The range switch determines the range of the knob (1V, 2V or 5V) but you can also switch on the quantization.

From the manual:

  Quote

When this switch is set to ”Off”, the step controls will be almost continuously variable within the range determined by the ”Range” switch. We use the term ’almost’ since it is still stepped digitally, but into 1024 very small increments which are – in effect – continuous and barely noticeable. Set to ”On”, the control voltage range gets scaled. That means, it is sliced into discrete steps that are equivalents of musical semitones. The number of chromatic steps, i. e. semitones that are covered by one entire turn of a step control is again determined by the setting of the ”Range” switch. When set to ”1V”, the step controls are quantized into 13 discrete semitones (one octave, or – to be more precise – a ”ninth” interval; e.g. ”c” to ”C”). ”2V” means 25 semitones (two octaves) and ”5V” means 61 semitones (five octaves). ”Scale” will be used for future updates

So you can rotate them freely to any CV within the range or lock into CVs that are essentially semitones.

Also you can control any CV controlled parameter with the CV from the Dark Time. Like say cutoff or PW in the DE.

It would be a nice electronics project to build your own analog sequencer. Shouldn't be too hard.
