Cool, I especially like the first one. Does the game involve you driving/flying something? I kind of imagined them fitting well into something like that.

Indeed. It's a kind of procedurally generated, top-down, space shooter that has you flying a ship through hex-shaped rooms on a tiny planetoid.

you know, after you said that i can totally hear this fitting perfectly into that type of game. very cool songs!

Global Game Jam actually. And it's pretty much just "developer". There was another guy who contributed some and a few other guys who were supposed to do stuff but didn't.

But yeah, we worked on a game at the Game Jam together. This time around it's been way more successful though, because he wasn't having to shoehorn everything into Java to accommodate the other programmers. This time it's Unity, which is awesome.

Thanks! The current ending will hopefully be extended into a full snare solo for a few bars and then off to wherever from there, whether it's the end or another section. It's just gonna take me a few hours of meticulous sequencing and tweaking to get it where I want it.

It's a complete remake of an old track from when I used to play with metal bands. For the project this is from my friend and I just did vocals over tracks sequenced on my RS-70. I'll probably do a few more of these once this one's done.

Sounds like videogame music (which is a good thing, of course). Nice pads.

I really didn't like the drums though. Especially not the cymbals. Really weak sounding, and didn't fit the mood of the track at all.

i disagree, i think the percussion was great.

and it does sound like a video game. like something you would here in a boss battle or something. really cool.

Anyways, I've listened through this a few times, so I guess I might as well write down my super interesting opinion. To be honest, I wish you had made the bit starting at 0:05 longer and the chiptune (or whatever it's called) stuff shorter. The melodies are pretty annoying, but I guess that was what your were going for. Judging from the sounds and all that.

Since the track is so short, I don't have much more to say. Compared the the one you posted before this (which was quite good I'd say), this track does very little for me, but then again, if it's just a fun little joke track I guess that's alright too. In a way.

If it's a WIP, I'd suggest adding some more stuff to the section at 0:12, to make it a bit more interesting to listen to. Right now it's just a sound going up and down. Also, extend first section, shorten the last one.

One night indeed, though it's far from done.

I may expand the section at 0:05, as it is a bit short. The entire thing was originally just going to be sporadic whatevers for a couple minutes, but I took it to where it went and I'll probably jut back into something erratic after grooving on the chiptune bit.

The melodies are intentionally cheesy and ripe with borderline nonsensical chromatic fuckery, but I wouldn't say that they are intentionally annoying. Ridiculous perhaps. Shame they rub you the wrong way.

The section at 0:12 will most certainly have more elements added to it.
