theyve had enough time now to make a full game on a new engine, theres no excuse for them to just do another expansion with slight upgrades to the graphics and gameplay. the episodic thing failed miserably, and i am hoping that they realized it.

they have to conclude the thing tho, so whatever it's named, new engine or not episode 3 has to come out.

i wasnt saying that a new half life game wasnt going to come out, i was just saying i really hope they got their shit together and arent just making another expansion

by proxy of the fact that they have to conclude the story arc in Half-Life 2, yes it is going to be an episodic release.

Episode 3 is taking so long I completely forgot about it and just accept the fact that the hl2 series ends abruptly, unfortunately.

the problem with black ops is they tried to make it more "accessible" and halo-ish in the hopes that more people would buy it, as opposed to making it more fun and enjoyable. for example, they removed the ability to make killstreak kills count towards other killstreaks, so that people who never get killstreaks dont get frustrated easily.

finished the campaign today (had dipped in and out), the story is actually pretty good and interesting, but generally the action is dull. Vietnam was an amazing setting, but the majority of it was just generic buildings etc.

Yeah the story was clever, especially when parts of it were replayed in the flash back so you could see how it panned out.

COD:BO has good bits of action in it,and the helicopter bits were fun as were the boat bits. But as an actual shooter, proper poor. Its like an apple, it looked tasty but the core was rotten.

· Additional online security enhancements

· Prevention of Valkyrie rocket exploding upon release under rare conditions

· Prevention of Gunship failing to give player full control under rare conditions

· Prevention of a rare issue where a player will get teleported outside the map boundaries under very specific circumstances

ive had that gunship control problem, it sucks so bad, it just goes around in a circle and you cant kill anyone. glad it is a glitch cause i swear i had gotten it another time and it was fine.

anyone make an aphex emblem or seen one? thinking about making one but i dont want to lose the one ive worked so hard on (a dick jizzin on some lips)

Mostly i've been on the CONNECTION FAILED!!!! game, quiet interesting at first.... but when you are winning it pisses you off something royal

just rented this and apparently there's no split screen co-op. fucking disappointment.

been suffering severe connection issues with this, I'd say every other game seems to time out and then only half of them recover. moved on to GT5 and not sure when I'll head back to COD:BO

I finished the single player over a week ago and haven't even thought about playing it again. There's no point in even trying it out online because I already know I'll be terrible.

The single-player game was pretty lame though. Looked nice in some respects, but it was really really easy. Running between cut-scenes isn't fun. Even the Vietnam missions are ruined once you realise that the hordes of enemies will never stop. Never. Until you run to that certain check-point to watch a cut-scene and move onto the next stage. What's the fucking point? I could complete this game in a couple of hours if I just ran from check-point to check-point.

Who wrote the article about the quality of computer games being degraded because no-one reads books anymore? Everybody gets their stories and excitement from big-budget films and games are suffering as a result of lazy writing. It's all about the aesthetic, big iconic explosions and not about engaging the player whatsoever.

Although maybe I'm supposed to feel completely emotionless, like a real army goon.

Do you really think this is why? How does that even make any sense? If I didn't get killstreaks often I would be MORE frustrated with black ops than before. It used to be that pretty much anyone could just camp until 5 kills to get a predator, then get the harrier, then get a chopper gunner or pavelow soon after. In black ops that is a lot harder to do.
