markedone
Sorry for the bump.. but: Top reasons why this album is a flawed masterpiece as a vinyl record 1. In the Fog is split between sides A and B 2. Hatred of Music is split between SIDES B AND C. It takes a full record exchange to hear this piece What gives Kranky?! Other than that, this release is still fresher than fresh Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/61490-tim-hecker-ravedeath-1972/page/12/#findComment-1619214 Share on other sites

Because the tracks are so continuous, they didn't even break it at a reasonable point, its an arbitrary and sudden stop right in the middle of a wall of sound. lawrenke
I suppose he wrote the album for cd/digital, without considering the limited time on each side of a record, rather than writing it knowing it would be pressed to vinyl (a la Stars of the Lid) where each 'suite' finishes at the end of each side. And me. Nearly copped it last month but I'm kinda glad I didn't now. Splitting parts like that is a silly move.
