new Kanye West album

all of the lights is horrible imo. the lyrics are awful, the echo on fergie's voice is terrible (so is her voice, here at least.) the production is cheesy and over the top. the brass and the drums are ok.

until i see a video of kanye west pounding out beats on an mpc at 2am in his pink boxer shorts, he will have absolutely no credibility to me.

kanye west probably has a staff full of sycophants who sit there and program synth patches for him because he's too busy inking deals to sell upscale vodka.

He produces but he does not do the mix or the engineering. According to one of his engineers, Kanye does most of the programming and arranging incredibly quickly and then lets his team finish it off. He apparently came up with an albums worth of material for Jay Z in three days and the songs were more or less complete and only required the raps.
