Shout outs to the saracens, musulmen and celestials.

Mayonaise on chips(fries) is ok. Tartare sauce is 10X better imo.

The trampling people know what to expect. They deserve all the pain they receive. Maybe it'll teach them to go shopping at sensible times. When every other greedy fucker isn't there too. In the video that chen put on there's women randomly running around picking up any clothes they can without looking. What the fuck is up with that? Do they do it just to sell it or is it a big and fat woman shop so they know it'll all fit?

This happened in Buffalo NY, about 20 miles away from where I live. I can comfortably state that at least 70% of these people are Canadians (from Ontario. Specifically St Catherine's and Niagara Falls Ontario) as they swamp all of the stores over here whenever there are sales/deals to be had. They have also gotten hip to the fact that there is a hotel in Niagara that will comp your room if you complain about anything, no matter how large or small. Just listen to the guy screaming in the video. Even his cries of desperation sound Canadian. Just sayin'.

But yeah. This is still gross, no matter what way you look at it.

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

Surrender pronto or we'll level Toronto.

a workmate came back from lunch today saying he saw a crowd of idioslts fighting over eachother to spend 50p on junk from a nearby market stall

never knew they had so much storage space in trailers

if only we channeled so much outrage and anger into things that mattered. france riots so they don't have to work until they die, england riots so they can afford schooling. we riot over computer deals and sports teams. america, fuck yeah.

i love you, that is exactly what i've been thinking.

oh yeah england never riots over sports teams.

are people really so stupid that they think riots are the end-all solution to lifes problems?

fuck off!

They think that getting tazed, shot with bean bags, and/or hit with clubs or riot shields on camera will somehow penetrate the cold indifference of the government and the jaded detachment of those who will be watching the news coverage and that it will bring about some kind of social change.

no, but they can definitely help. take a look at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overthrow_of_Slobodan_Milošević

i use that as an example because it reminds me of a serbian euphemism, "puko mu film" (literally, "his film broke"). it's when people get so fed up with the bullshit they are fed that they snap and go fight for themselves. the french and british have done it recently. i had hoped that the recent tsa infringements on our rights would've made americans "snap" too, but it looks like we'll have to wait a few more years until a majority of americans realize "actually, it's not ok! you bend over, american government!"

i'm sorry if this has already been mentioned but why do the cops or the security for these stores ALLOW these assholes to camp outside of their fucking store to go shopping? If you are homeless you get told to leave if you camp in front of a public establishment.

They should also tell everybody on a bullhorn 'hey if we see you running on the store, we will have you on camera and you will not be allowed to make a purchase at the register you will be escorted out of the store and banned for the entire day'

all of this probably wouldn't stop a some crazed assholes though

it's also funny to me to see how much of an overwhelming scary police presence they have at things like the G20 to 'protect' people yet when these type of shopping fiascos happen where are all the riot cops? obviously reveals what their real priority is, not to protect but to intimidate.

When you're in a politically and financially stable situation, live in a society where you have no limit of options and opportunities to express your opinions and feelings in a meaningful way, rioting is truly one of the stupidest, most mindless things you can do. If you're the kind of person that needs to attack something to make yourself feel more powerful and respected, you are a child. There are things worth fighting for, toys/angst/consented butt-touching is not one of them.

i never said anything about feeling powerful or respected? i said that "rioting" (if you read the example i used, you'd see it was mostly peaceful) was a valid way of pushing for social change. also, what things are worth fighting for? i'm surprised you lump together trampling your fellow man to get cheap goods and protesting government-sanctioned molestation (of which there hasn't even been a protest yet).

also, i'm sorry for derailing.

protest != riot. Precise usage of words enables clearer communication.

Bread - this is not what our "system" produces, as clearly this event is rare enough to garner reportage. Perhaps you would prefer:

the line between them gets blurry though. when i think of riots, i think of the rodney king riot. but for some people the threshold of violence needed for a protest or crowd to turn into a riot is much lower.
