I'm a bit inconsistent admittedly, but I have my moments. I'm guessing English isn't your first language, but you might want to know that 'responding with good humour' does not mean the same thing as 'trying to be humorous'.

I resent that implication. I've had countless stupid spats with long term members as well. Although at the moment my watmm experience does feel a bit like Sergeant Barnes gatecrashing the marijuana party. And isn't the whole read the rules thing just a meme, a pastiche of the hostile noob reception anyway.

I stand by my original point. Maybe describing the video as dull was a tad hostile, but it is a really strange video. "Here, let me demonstrate this amazing modular synth I've spent the last 40 years constructing by altering the tempo on a simple sequenced pattern! Look, I have two ARPs making 'my first synthesizer' sound effects! And what's so unique about all this? My synthesizers can communicate with each other!"

the tone didn't read as friendly to me, you have to be a little patient with newbs, you never know he might have been a nice guy after a while, once he'd read the rules and posted music related matters in the correct subforum.
