speaking of quality recordings does anyone know where it's possible to buy the original Aquarius/Chinook MP3s? read on discogs that they were on Skam's webstore:

and yet the store reads "Skam Mp3's, Flaks, Wavs etc are available at all major stores World Wide.

For now this shop specialises in hard product. Enjoy."

yes, aquarius was available on the previous iteration of skams webshop. i believe they were ripped from the masters, though you can't be sure, as team doyobi's wheels of anterion was clearly ripped wither from vinyl or, more troublingly , from the master used to cut the vinyl so the eq is all of

I'm no expert on mastering and whatnot, but the Aquarius MP3s I downloaded from the older Skam shop sounded suspiciously like vinyl rips, complete with vinyl crackle and pops to me. Ironically, my own rip of my Wheels Of Anterion 7" sounded cleaner.

i sent a note to chris gladwin and also sent him the files to listen to, he said he's looking into it. that version of skam shop was pretty uneven with their treatment of mp3s. somethings mastered from vinyl, some sold as 256 vbr instead of 256 cbr as was stated. complaints aside, the fact that they offered the stuff at all was nice. it'd be good to see them do it again (but better this time)

That is pure bliss. So bummed me and my mates didn't get to that WARP10 night, we could only get tickets for the night Plaid played.
