I've recently gotten back into Infected Mushroom's older albums. The better albums imo. I highly recommend Classical Mushroom and BP Empire. Oh, they do psy-trance btw.

ive become obsessed with 'the anthology of american folk music.'

i love that kind of thing, you should check out a couple of these comps:

Moutain Gospel: The Sacred Roots of Country Music http://www.elderly.com/recordings/items/JSP-CD7755.htm

Goodbye Babylon: http://www.dust-digital.com/goodbye-babylon.htm

in fact you should get anything from Dust to Digital records, those guys are so passionate and committed to what they do, check 'em out: http://dust-digital.com/catalog.htm

i actually can't emphasise enough how wonderful Goodbye Babylon is.

Lately I have been listening to copious amounts of the following (emphasis on the * ones), which is partly why I haven't been around much:

JAILL*

The Beatles*

The Kinks*

Simon & Garfunkel*

The Smiths*

Love

Tages

PJ Harvey*

Ween

Beck

Tame Impala

Curtis Mayfield

Rodriguez

Deerhunter

Ambulance LTD

The Roots

Television

However, on the electronic front, I have still made time for:

Loden

Tipper

Foscil

Solar Bears

eloy - codename wild geese soundtrack. awful music, but I've been listening to this record a lot lately.

kgb man - KGB Nights

Marital Canterel - you today/occupy these times singles. nice songs, looking forward to his new lp

Satomi Taniyama - Portopia. one of my favs from last year.

unit black flight - myspace tracks/where is carlos this guy needs to release more music

Yesterday's New Quintet

Charles Mingus. Especially The Black Saint and The Sinner Lady, which is probably one of the greatest things accomplished by humans ever.

Bored with ambient for the moment, mainly beat-driven stuff...

Lone

Memory Tapes

Bibio

John Roberts

Letherette

Madlib

Theo Parrish

Mathewdavid

Four Tet

Robag Wruhme

The Advisory Circle

Francois de Roubaix

I have spent way too much time on all the panda bear singles. deerhunter has been in heavy rotation too. and it is winter and super snowy here so autechre has been sounding amazing. I swear ae+snow=bliss.

I was driving around Kentucky with my wife doing a documentary project, and I put on Galerie Stratique.

I searched the board and got zero results for galerie stratique. sad. I'll start a thread.
