TCH is the best album ever produced by any one including boc. ppl who dont understand are merely on a lower level of consciousness.

perhaps people found the guitars to be off-putting

I remember seven years ago, I heard a track which sounded distinctly, excessively bleak and depressing. When I got into BoC and got hold of MHTRTC, I was surprised to find that the track called Turquoise Hexagon Sun was this very track.

Also, it's worth mentioning that last year, the old tunes track Hiscores triggered an epiphany that made me break down in tears. Of horror.

Maybe I'm particularly disturbed, but I think their music makes everything more depressing. Like they really make me think much harder about my pathetic excuse of a life. There's something about their tunes that trigger a sense of melodic nostalgia, which reminds me of a better time in my life. Sometimes when I'm alone, I listen to the same song 100 times, and they always remind me of some great memories. But despite how depressing they make me feel, I'm literally always in a good mood after a long session of listening to them. I will always love them, and I really don't understand all the TCH hate. Its a fantastic album.

Beware the Friendly Stranger is pretty depressing and eerie. Pretty inventive too for a short little tune.

BTFS doesn't say "depressing" to me. Feels more sinister, like a clown staring at his shadow on the wall while doing magic tricks.

I'd go with either "Sunshine Recorder" or "In a Beautiful Place Out In The Country."

Also, I'm sure this is mentioned a lot on this board, but there is WAY too much hate on The Campfire Headphase. For me, it's tied with Geogaddi for best BoC album.

Edit: And +1 to whoever said "Soylent Night" from Hell Interface.

Hell Interface's Soylent Night is like, proper depressing.

holy shit, i'm going to agree with this.

i also reckon they added a great deal of emotional *PUNCH* to beck's broken drum, definitely added a great deal of something to the orginal.

i don't find BOC depressive, never did, it's a good mood, nerd and wicked, but not depressive, at all, at least for me :flower:

This.

That. except i don't really think there's anything very nerdy about BoC! on the contrary.

and i think it's a shame that nerd's seem to have latched onto that, and all IDM, infact.
