No mention of BoC yet? Shocked!

 

Joy Orbison has some of the best use of vocal snippets in recent memory.

 

Also, Drexciya/Dopplereffekt/etc. have excellent vocal snippets, both original and sampled.

 

Let's not forget afx either - his samples add a lot of character to every track!

 

All in all I am very pro vocal samples as long as they aren't gimmicky. I like Vibert a lot but he can too often use vocal samples like a crutch to add interest to a track.

boc is a good example too. really ODD use of vocals

 

i think luke just sometimes enjoys building a song around a vocal sample. we all know he is talented enough to do without. but just think of stuff like Musipal! unparalled album. i don't really see a problem with that.
