Worst movie year since...ever?

Excellent

None. I imagine Black Swan has potential as the best movie of the year, but it's not here until february. Are there any other contenders to Golden Globe/Oscar for movie of the year?

Good

Shutter Island

Kick-Ass

Decent

Tron

Inception

Machete

The Social Network, Armadillo and Black Swan coould be up there, but I haven't seen any of them.

Look at this list. At least ten movies of that list is better than any of the 2010 movies, IMO.

Shutter Island is really not.

That's right.

That flick was a hair away from being on my worst list.

I guessed the

ending from the preview. That didn't help any.

Animal Kingdom

Goffer has great taste, I haven't seen many films this year but just saw this one and it was superb! Highly recommend it

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

Caught up on a few others I'd like to add to the list:

The Illusionist - probably my favorite film of the year... new animated film from Sylvain Chomet based an an un-filmed screenplay by Jacques Tati. The animated representation of Monsieur Hulot was perfect!

Life During Wartime - New Todd Solondz film, definitely my favorite from him. It was like a more cohesive, film literate version of Happiness.

Edited by goffer

hmm..seemed like watered down happiness to me, i guess he was going for something more refined but in the end it just missed the punch of happiness

animal kingdom felt too scripted and lifeless, the characters had too much contrast..stood out for me.

36 shot of rum was probably the most boring film i've ever seen but then huppert in piano teacher was probably the best performance i've ever seen, next in queue.

what does that even mean?

great

a prophet /un prophet (easily best new movie saw last year)

good

inception ( better second time. otherwise woulda made shit list + still dislike a lot of it.)

social network (only if the point was that social networking was invented by sociopaths. not sure about this?)

shutter island (fun 50's b movie style madness. the twist isnt that intresting)

okay

enter the void (went on too long but at least tried to do something different)

black swan (enjoyed while watching it but like it less in retrospect. edging towards shit list.)

trash humpers (deliberately shit and therefore okay)

shit

four lions (need to watch again so might be being harsh. too obvious + didnt think it was funny)

scott pilgrim (some fun moments but overall too annoying + for tha kidz. should of been a tv show)

kick ass (see above )

the road (horrible stage school brat + vigo mortenson's bum = bad movie)

cant think of anymore right now

I totally missed out on this in the theater and I'm still kicking myself.

Isn't it supposed to be a sequel to Happiness with a different cast?

Happiness one of my all time faves. I have to see this one.

1. the ghost writer

2. enter the void (technically 2009, but i think the US release is 2010)

3. the social network

4. carlos

5. animal kingdom

i didn't see much of anything that i liked this year.

5. Shutter Island (For it's dream/flashback sequences)

4. Black Swan

3. Let Me In (Didn't see the original though)

2/1. The King's Speech (For the intense as fuck speech, and everything else.)

1/2. The Fighter

Fun Movies: Hot Tub Time Machine, Going the Distance, Machete.

Want to see Blue Valentine, and some other one my girlfriend keeps talking about with Aaron Eckhart. Just rented Kids are Alright. Never saw Enter The Void/Biutiful/Philip Morris/A couple others that didn't play in my local theaters. Also missed The Town.

True Grit was nothing special, Imo. Very dull. Not a thinker. Definitely not a No Country For Old Men.

I don't see the big deal with Toy Story 3. How to Train Your Dragon was better. Didn't see Despicable Me yet.
