What korg should really do is stop making so many synths and reissue the ms2000. Probably the best synth they made since the MS20. I guess that it's discontinued gives the sound an even better quality though ha.

I was watching one of those promo videos again, and the conclusion I'm reaching is that there is some cool stuff that's trying to escape from this workstation. It's just a pity that it's all so workstation. If you took the MOD-7 engine out of it, put into a desktop case with a decent interface that encouraged tweaking and live manipulation (say, like Elektron stuff) and got the price right, maybe £350. I'd be on it in a flash. OK, big assumption that the MOD-7 engine live up to the expectation but it seems like an interesting take on FM.

No doubt that wouldn't fit with Korg's target market. Ah well...

with ALL of the more innovative controllers out there w[including even korg products]why would they constrain themselves to this tired format
