The prospect of covering Feed me Weird things. :sorcerer::spiteful::braindance:

But we'll decided the specifics once we've picked an artist. This'd be a chance for people to get to know all the other artists too. Fletcher, thats a bit of a catastrophe that you only have Greedy Baby. Plaid are one of my favourite bands.

Plaid and Clark were both on my Xmas wish list but I didnt get any CDs

I think I could handle a cover better than a remix!

Whats going on with the alignment,.....

I voted Aphex, because I wanna do a remix of Beetles.

But I'd be cool with anyone. Except Cylob I guess, I don't know his music very well.

Guest Blanket Fort Collapse

Every Squarepusher album is quite hit and miss for me where a lot of tracks on his albums I would be really uninspired to reinterpret except for Go Plastic and I don't think I want to be slaving away programming crack PCP speed drums for a cover.

VENETIAN SNA...awwwwww. Oh! Wis-SHIT!

I don't care for more than half of the featured artists, honestly. I guess my vote goes to Squarepusher, but I have no idea what track/album I would want to do. I thought about Aphex, but then we'd just look like obsessed little nerds...which we are, but somehow Squarepusher is less electronic-music-god-fanboy-ish.

I guess I'd be okay with ae too.

well, I guess I can't say "if it's not AE I'll not bother doing a version" withouth looking like a huffy child stamping his feet. well, seeing as I don't have any Squarepusher albums I'll be struggling but I'll give it a go none-the-less.

Gotta say man, you have no idea what you've been missing. Snag Go Plastic and prepare for a fun ride.

That's my vote for the album to do by the way...probably.

I've a reasonable idea of what I'm missing. I've just never really been much of a fan of his although I will admit I don't think I've bothered to even listen to anything post-Ultravisitor. Horses, course and all that.

Anyway, I'd best be off to read the rules before Blanket Fort Collapse comes in to steal my dinner money.

I voted for Autechre as I thought it would be interesting to extract the melodic fragments from their more complex pieces and make a piano based cover version of sorts. Squarepusher would be fun to do as well!

I know that pretty much no one on this forum has heard my music before, but I would love to be a part of this project and I definitely feel that I could contribute something worthwhile!

I may as well post something of mine to back up what I'm saying... A bit off topic but I would definitely like to be a part of this project!

yeah, autechre songs are fun to interpret. i've tried a few, i've got a 25% finished post-rock cover of nil sitting on my hard drive. here's a really sloppy cover of parhelic triangle that i did as an exercise back when i was learning to write post-rock:

it's not very well done, but my intentions were good!

Your intentions were definitely good! From what I can tell you only really grabbed onto the minimal melodic motif and ran with it... Autechre would be an interesting remix project because there is only so much to grab for melodically a lot of the time... Most of the other artists in the list have much more identifiable melodic hooks. With Autechre the remixes would likely sound markedly different from their progenitor tracks.

Ill leave this open a few more days, just because Ae wasnt an available option at the start.

Then we can get down to specifics.
