I'll let what has already been written speak for itself. Truly great female vocalists are too few and far between, and Trish was not just one of the most distinctive, but one of the best. She was only 42 years old. RIP

that was great to read, thanks... I think this line really gets down to it: "Something about Keenan’s voice always sounds like she’s looking you dead in the eye". Even when her voice is distant, deadpan or monotonous, there's always something very intimate and direct about her delivery which is why I think it connects so well on an emotional level.

And yes, I'm vastly hungover and crying into my tea.

I absolutely love that Broadcast + Focus Group album.

Not familiar with most of Broadcast's output (only really discovered them after this sad news), though I'm sure I've heard Trish's voice elsewhere.

R.I.P - Lovely voice, and terrible to be robbed of her life so young.
