Tell me about Norway and the Netherlands

norway has quite generous student loans, by the way.

(edit: might be ironic)

what do you mean?

my university is supposed to pay a scholarship for the whole year, but people that went in previous years complain that they don't pay the whole values and always pay late. i would love if there was some kind of scholarship given by the university there, given as a result of good marks obtained in past years

Go to prague. It's beautiful. I just got back. Under £1 a pint if you stay out of the tourist area. And £2 for fags and smoking is allowed in pubs.

We got to see Godspeed You! Black Emperor live at the akropolis on the third night.

Ruiagnelo: I don't think there is possible to get a scholarship for the university here, but at the same time there is no student fee for foreigners. How much is the scholarshop you can get? Remember that everything is expensive over here.

A room in a student village provided by the university: Around 400 euros pr month

A dinner at the university cafeteria: 6-7 euros

A beer at a pub 7-9 euros

i also loved prague. very cool, cosmopolitan place.

budapest is similarly picturesque, vibrant and cheap.

exactly. i pay the fees of my local university and not those of the host university.

i still don't know exactly the values of the scholarships, because the lists haven't been released yet.

all the students complain about them and i know of some people (not related no Norway, i don't remember where they went too) who should have been getting 4000€ and ended up getting 1800€. it's always a mess around here with money, that's why i won't dare going to a very expensive place.

I think it's quite common for exchange students to take part-time jobs here in Norway.

i would honestly do the same thing, if i wasn't studying architecture.

it is a very hard-working course and consumes almost all the free time available.
