after listening to this a couple more times i really think people aren't giving this a fair shake.

first off it was made in what 1994? what other music sounds like this from that time period? practically zero

the recording quality is atrocious and filled with tape hiss, it's even worse than the bootleg of Analog Bubblebath 5 that was floating around for years until someone did a proper vinyl rip.

taking all these things into consideration I think a good 50% of this very awesome unreleased aphex stuff, some of it is not very good admittedly (especially track 11 and 14 sound like throwaway early Aphex breakbeat experiments) but if it was released with a high fidelity recording some of you might 180 your opinion.

I kinda think it's amusing to complain about the shitty sound quality, this is unreleased gems ffs!!!

other than that, lots of cool moments and sounds to be had in this jam - just turn them up loud on a decent system.

I'd definitely say that the tracks worth giving a shot would be: 1, 2 (just listening to the way some of the sounds bend and warp is fun, total schomkes lolzy music jam here), 3 (interesting little jam), 04 (again some moments here that are pretty cool), 06 is fucking mint imo, 12 (probably my favourite out of all of them, it's just so sweet and delicious...), track 13 (darkest and most wicked out of all of them easily, if only this track were worked on and extended imo, really love some of the moments in this)

the rest you can safely ignore imo.

so what's up with track 6? how long is it supposed to be?

~2:50

Well, good job team. Happy to see that people aren't completely driving themselves crazy waiting for the "new" stuff. This should keep people calm for a few more months.

Wait a fucking sec here! I just saw this live cliphttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-x-FFiUbhqo&feature=related

And doesn't it sound like track 02 or 03? That must have been another unreleased track from the same era!

Yeah, that's track 5 playing in that clip. He's also played track 4 or 3.

Anyway, after listening to it a bunch of times my favorites are tracks 1, 3, 4, 6, 11, and 12.

are you the resident asshole of the afx subforum now sirch? I've never had a problem with you but you've been nothing but a dick in here... Guess you're limited to flexing your nuts over the afx fanbois. someone has to do it right

Anyway, my coment was no slight to afx, but the recording/demoness of the tracks. Frankly, the tracks sound like shit. I've had them for over a year now, low quality, why do we need flac rips? While we're at at let's fucking take a 64kbps innernet stream from 1997 and recode it to FLAC GUYS!!!!!!!!!

BUT IT'S AFX!!!!!!

Don't bother replying cause I won't be back

I don't think anyone really thinks we needed FLAC rips of the tracks. Also, apparently 99% of the people on this forum haven't heard the tracks, so they're new to us at least.

so basically this is what happens when collector types hoard rare music and don't share it with the world when they should have...

we are left with sub par quality tape hiss distorted copies of music that existed at one time in decent quality.

so basically my advice is don't sit on something to feel 'elite' or like you're the only one who has it out of a select group of music geeks, give it to someone who has knowledge of audio recording processes to share it with the world. its the unselfish and non irritating thing to do.

whatever happened to CATS? I haven't seen that name around here in a long time, wasn't he the guy who handled the downloads section organization couple years back.

he's back under the board stealth style under a new name, KarakasaMusic music , here is his profile http://forum.watmm.com/user/800-karakasamusic/

And now banned.
