how to turn off a solar powered calculator

i don't own a solar powered calculator. so i thought i'd try "helen's theory" on the windows calculator application.

lo and behold it shut-down my computer. helen is good!

Sometimes I just go inside and turn off all the lights. That usually does the trick. I think. The only problem is that whenever I check to see if the calculator is off I have to turn the lights on again.

it's kinda like the fridge door light trick

Oh I just break the light bulb in my fridge, then it's always off.
