"The Soldier tir'd" from Artaxerxes is worth a listen, and it's in English, come on Ingerland. I got to see/hear a great performance of Artaxerxes in London some moons ago, great Opera.

The reason i hate opera is the abuse of constant reckless vibrato, its a musical plague. I like the music itself. Sadly too much for me here as well.

Listened to the full thing, really enjoyed it. Thx for sharing it. This is the kind of stuff that  is not that easy to find on your own.

If you like Mozart requiem: listen to this. Mozart basically used it as a model, nearly a template to compose his own. 

Quite a few similar passages. You can really hear the influence.
