my take on it is with so many news reports of dangerous chemicals getting into tap water supplies from water run off, or however i like to er on the side of caution. but i have to admit i mostly filter my water for the taste, i dont like my water to taste funky which is what tap water tastes like to me./

i have one of these things

works much better than a Brita, tastes literally like nothing and filters out a lot of chemicals that Brita doesn't do. I just do it for my own personal mental well being.
