that story sounds far too good to be true

I know! But if you follow this link, you can reread what you've already read (you f-ing already replied to it in the original treahd...hello!!!): http://forum.watmm.com/topic/35909-sto-lend-ep-from-1996/page__view__findpost__p__1435394

Whether you believe the explanation or not, to me, hearing the tracks it sounds plausible.

old album of mine from 2003. it's from my early buzz days so it's a bit mushy and repetitive, but a lot of it is built from hiphop beats mashed up and processed beyond recognition.

this is fun :)

oh, thanks guys! yeah three days is more of the same basically. except a bit more refined. probably a mix of chiastic slide and lp5 in terms of inspiration, but put through ridiculous amounts of distortion. i used to love distorting the fuck out of my drums!

Yeah I know eh! I have a cool nostalgic memory with Fourside (HOLY SHIT only just realised that's an Earthbound reference!)... I remember, in my first year at animation school I had Three Days in my discman, and I played it for a friend at lunch time. He had one of my earphones and I kept the other one in my ear, so we could listen together, and at first he was understandably taken aback by the torrent of noise flooding into his ear. I reassured him it got better, and as we walked back to class and when that main melody burst in from about halfway through the song, the look on his face was gold... like he'd just discovered the meaning of life... he got so excited, and then we ended up head banging our way back to the funky funky beat :)

I just listened to this all the way through. It's delicious. It's glitchy, it's coarse, it's potent, it's powerful. It has that 'KTPA' feel to it which I just adore, and you've somehow enhanced it by adding an element of melody.

++Would listen again

Sorry for the double post.

Oh and what about:

Intricate - In Pectra

Loess

Phoenecia - Brownout and Randa Roomet EP

Good recommendations, these are among the closest I have found

Tapage & Meander - Etched in Salt (Tympanik)

http://tympanikaudio.com/releases/ta050/

Picked this wicked album up earlier this year from the adnoiseum shop, and its really rather good in terms of electronics. Not on par with Chiastic Slide, but if youve not heard this then definitely give it a go.

I'm a big fan of Gridlock. I guess some of that sounds a little Chi Slideish (but not really)

Check out Dryft - Ventricle (relative newness from half of Gridlock)

This thread reminded me of Arovane's Atol Scrap, which I downloaded years ago. Damn I wish I bought this when it was still around... I feel like I owe them something. Thaem Nue is one incredible piece of music.
