I like this stuff, but why is there so much buzz about it here? I wish more of these electro style guys would go in the direction of shadowdancer's debut album which still blows my mind every time.(shadowdancer's newer EPs are pretty tame in comparison).

Man if people thought ISAM was too overly compressed and distorted, steer clear of this whole album.

i never liked sebastian but i tried this album & i had to stop it after like 30 seconds... not for me

so after having listened for 30 secs, your mother walked into your room and she told you to not listen to it ever again. you bad bad boy!!!

:pedobear:

edit: on the on-topic side - skipped through the album on beatport and bought a couple of tracks. there are definitely some gems in there which got that fucked up pop-vibe to it. kinda like bubblegum trashcore for 12 year old girls on cocaine.

ps.: if anyone got an invite to the beatport html5 beta fanclub, please give me a private massage

the album has a really solid flow. would recommend album over selected tracks (even if some tracks are standout than others)

Seems like Ed banger's gonna release CTFO as the next single off the album.

Don't like the track, but it'll feature a remix by our dear DMX Krew...

PS : Want it on vinyl, seeing it in many stores here in France...

Its interesting that so many of you like this album. I've waited years for Sebastian's full length, and i daresay this is one of the most disappointing album's I've ever held out for.

I think I feel the same way about this as people feel about the Joker album. I mean Sebastian was the man back in the day, pretty much everything he did was killer. I daresay he wasn't too far away from Clark with his sound between 05 and 08; minimal, angular and smarter than the artists he was associated with. But this album just feels like he's trying to please people who know Ed Banger by name with an assortment of lighthearted Ed Banger sounding tracks. And when he's doing his own style he sounds like a self-parody.

Not to rain on anyone's parade. A lot of the tracks are fun, and his production is still pretty top quality. I guess I just put him on too high of a pedestal, thinking he had more ambition than just cross-over appeal.

i think this is spot on. A lot of these new artists in small doses outside of the context of an album like Joker are really appealing perhaps until you hear what their idea of an album sounds

Amongst other things, I think the structure was really, really bad.

I reckon it could have started on "Night", ended on "Yes", cut the filler and bulk out the better interludes.

But, then again, I've become a bit of an aspie with this album... I've got to stop obsessing.
